Select Board · Meeting of June 29, 2026
Erving's Select Board adopted the town's Hazard Mitigation Plan and renewed its curbside trash contract in what appeared to be Selectman James Loynd's last meeting after three years on the board. The board approved a one-year, $152,461.92 Casella Waste Management contract after a roughly 30 percent prevailing-wage spike forced renegotiation, and began weighing cuts to the town's free trash-sticker allotment. Members adopted Resolution No. 2026-01 on the hazard plan 2-0 with Loynd abstaining, clearing the way for FEMA eligibility.
The board also hired Johnson Roberts Associates for $11,215 to design fixes for ice-damaged library roof equipment, engaged Colliers Project Leaders for up to $15,000 on the elementary school's MSBA-backed roof and HVAC project, and tabled a roughly $246,000 wheeled excavator purchase pending further Capital Planning review. Chair Jacob Smith closed the meeting thanking Loynd "for joining us up here for the last three years."
