Select Board · Meeting of June 30, 2026
Erving's Select Board continued a dangerous-dog hearing to July 13 after the owner failed to appear for a second time. Chairman Jacob Smith and Selectman William Bembury, with James Loynd absent, voted unanimously to delay testimony on a Blue Heeler-pitbull mix named Jewels owned by Kristal Brow, after Attorney Brian Falk warned that deciding the case that night "would be less than ideal" without her present. Police Chief Robert Holst said Officer Peter Krejmas would attempt hand delivery of a renewed notice.
The board separately dismissed Brow's appeal of Citation No. 392 over bylaw "inconsistencies," and approved a $7,000 contract with Tighe & Bond so Water and Wastewater Superintendent Peter Sanders can apply for a state revolving-fund loan by a July 24 deadline.
