School Committee · Meeting of March 17, 2026

Erving School Committee approved a truck swap and two fiscal 2027 budgets Tuesday. Members voted unanimously to accept a used 2016 Ford F-350 from the town Highway Department instead of buying a new $64,000 tractor, with Highway Department representative Glenn quoting mechanical repairs at $5,481.12 and a new plow at $8,860, for a total near $18,000. "We're in exchange for not spending $60,000 or so, we're spending around $20,000," one member said.

The committee also gave final approval to a $3,875,180 elementary budget and a $1,350,326 secondary budget, increases of 1.54 percent and 4.8 percent. Principal Beth Gannon reported enrollment at 117 students, and the Franklin County Technical School representative said a ballot vote on a new school building is set for October 6.
