Select Board · Meeting of May 11, 2026
Erving Select Board rejected a $318,178 bid for modular Public Works offices, more than double the budgeted $154,955. Acting Chair James Loynd presided in the absence of Chair Jacob Smith, and Selectman William Bembury made the motion to reject the sole bid from Triumph Modular Inc. after Town Administrator Bryan Smith said the town could not "in good conscience" ask voters to amend the budget. The board also approved a $149,795.87 accounts payable warrant and tabled talk of a Special Town Meeting before June 30, citing too few ready warrant articles.
Members debated setting the newly appointed Treasurer position at 25 to 30 hours a week, carrying the job description to Wednesday's meeting ahead of the Annual Town Meeting.
