Select Board · Meeting of October 26, 2026

ERVING — The Erving Select Board voted to appoint Michelle Turner as the town's part-time treasurer. Member Jacquelyn Boyden moved the appointment after meeting with Turner directly, pending a health exam and background check, with a one-year probation period and an effective date "on or before" November 28, 2026. Turner will be eligible for a $1,000 annual stipend for Massachusetts treasurer certification and must stay bonded under state law.

Member William Bembury had earlier asked about treasurer-collector fee revenue in Northfield, which Boyden said runs "between $10,000 and $12,000 a year" but doesn't count toward pension. The board also approved the ninth accounts payable warrant for fiscal 2027 totaling $538,768.15.
