Chair Jacob Smith, Member William Bembury, and Member James Loynd voted unanimously on all seven procurement actions at the July 26 meeting, awarding flood-emergency bridge demolition and embankment repair on Swamp Road and North Street to Sam Browning Jr. Trucking of Northfield for a combined $89,550 under emergency waivers approved by state DCAM. The board then awarded construction of the AP Mills pump station and force sewer main to Balthazar Contractors Inc. of Ludlow for $625,980, drawing on a $401,500 MassWorks grant and ARPA funds, leaving an estimated $298,607 in ARPA infrastructure dollars available for other needs.
