ERVING — June 26, 2023 — Erving Select Board approves 4 percent wage increase and $223,722 financial software contract at wide-ranging June 26 meeting. Chair Jacob Smith and members William Bembury and James Loynd, meeting jointly with the Finance Committee and Capital Planning Committee, voted to adopt a 4 percent base wage adjustment with a 3 percent annual step increase on a restructured 10-step table for General Government and Fire Department employees, effective July 1, replacing a prior 15-step scale. The board also awarded a three-year contract to Zobrio of Pembroke for a new financial management system at $223,722, with Treasurer Jennifer Ikorn authorized to sign; a reserve fund transfer of up to $15,000 to cover a software transition overlap was placed on the July 10 agenda. A Ford F-550 plow truck was procured from Colonial Ford of Marlboro for not more than $110,000 — under the $125,000 approved budget — and Cody Pease was promoted to Equipment Operator/Buildings Maintenance Laborer at an approximate rate of $27.25 per hour, contingent on obtaining a CDL within six months at a training cost of just under $3,100.
