Erving Police Chief Screening Committee Votes to Enter Executive Session on Candidates

ERVING — February 2, 2021 — Erving's Chief of Police Screening Committee finalized an 11-question interview format Tuesday and voted unanimously to enter executive session to review applicants. The committee, chaired by Scott and supported by HR consultant Mary, trimmed its question list from 13, moving a question on policing philosophy to a suggested list for the Select Board's later round of interviews. Members agreed the chair would ask all primary questions while other committee members — including George Moonlight Davis, Ryan, Brian, Jacob Smith, Jason Robinson, and Chris Redmond — would offer brief personal introductions and submit follow-up questions through the virtual platform. Candidate interviews are tentatively set for February 9 and February 11, with the committee planning to deliver finalist recommendations to the Select Board after those sessions.
