Erving Assessors Approve $2,500 Revaluation Contract, Enter Executive Session
ERVING — March 30, 2021 — Erving Board of Assessors approves $2,500 personal property revaluation contract and clears a motor vehicle abatement. Meeting by GoToWebinar on March 30, the board unanimously approved a fiscal year 2022 contract with Patriot Properties to conduct field inspections of businesses potentially underreporting taxable personal property and to update the town's personal property cost tables, a step required at each revaluation cycle. A board member noted the town is transitioning from a three-year to a five-year revaluation schedule, making the next full revaluation five years out. The board also unanimously approved a motor vehicle abatement for Christina Yarbrough and a $60 virtual conference registration before voting to enter executive session to review real estate and personal property abatements and exemptions, with no return to public session.
