Erving ZBA Recesses 40B Care Drive Hearing to January 14

ERVING — December 29, 2025 — Erving Zoning Board recesses Chapter 40B hearing on Care Drive affordable housing project to January 14. The board voted unanimously at its December 29 session to recess the ongoing comprehensive permit hearing for a project by World Development, Inc. to January 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Erving Senior and Community Center. Peer reviewer Dominic Rinaldi of BSC Group told the board he had reviewed the applicant's December 23 response to his 25-item stormwater comment letter and found it satisfactory, flagging only two items — test pit timing and test pit quantities — as substantive but saying neither changed the design. Town counsel Paul Haverty said he expects to circulate a draft comprehensive permit decision by January 9. Gina Gavoni, Executive Director of Rural Development, Inc., told the board the delay window is tight: "This is a critical time for us in terms of moving our funding application forward."
