Erving Planning Board unanimously approves revised marijuana zoning table
ERVING — July 15, 2021 — Erving Planning Board approves revised marijuana zoning table and clears years-old minutes backlog. Meeting remotely on July 15, the five-member board voted unanimously to accept an updated marijuana use table that extends special-permit eligibility to retail marijuana stores in the French King district and to marijuana micro businesses across all zoning districts — two categories previously listed as prohibited or left blank. The board also cleared five sets of unapproved minutes dating to October 2018, correcting spelling errors and date headings before adopting each set unanimously. Town Administrator Brian Smith briefed members on MassDOT confusion over the stalled French King solar project, clarifying that Erving's water commissioners had never prohibited a second Route 2 access point. The board tabled a planned-unit-development boundary decision for the Renovators property pending a dimensioned map, and heard from Smith that a town code reorganization of the zoning bylaw is targeting the May 2022 annual town meeting.
