ERVING — April 14, 2021 — Erving Planning Board advances marijuana zoning review and planned unit development map but reaches no final decisions. The board, meeting April 14 with three members present — Debra Smith and two others identified only as Mike and Moonlight — spent the bulk of its session attempting to reconcile conflicting versions of a draft cannabis use table that would govern where processing, cultivation, and retail marijuana operations are allowed across the town's zoning districts. Staff member Mariah agreed to produce a merged, tracked-changes document overlaying existing and proposed marijuana uses before the next meeting. The board also reviewed frontage data for parcels proposed for a planned unit development overlay near Renovator Supply, the Irving Paper Mill, and the French King district, finding that several lots — including one at just 25 feet of frontage — would not meet the proposed 400-foot minimum. Planning consultant Peggy is set to appear at the May 20 meeting, moved up one hour to 6 p.m., to address accessory dwelling units and affordable housing questions.
